Ocean Park Inn has been a family owned hotel since 1967.  It is located directly on the beach front next to Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach.   In 2018, the hotel began the process of a complete interior and exterior remodel of the property.  They first selected the interior design firm Clear On Black based out of Los Angeles, CA.  Then next selected local San Diego resident and landscape photographer John Cocozza to provide the photos for the interior design of the hallways and guest rooms.

 

THE GUEST ROOMS

Each guest room had 40" circular print added in the living space, several pillows with photo covers, and a framed print added to the bathrooms.   Instead of guests renting a hotel room the idea is to make it feel like they are renting a furnished apartment or room with coastal lifestyle vibe.

HALLWAY REMODELS

The idea for the hotel hallways was to create a "Walking Tour" of the Pacific Beach area.  The project manager from Clear On Black wanted to giving the guests the feeling of walking around town, the boardwalk, and pier.  So I set out to photograph lifestyle and landscapes around the Pacific Beach area.  The final choices were made and the floor plans were set.
